51 Ford, from ordinary to extraordinary

When it came out the 1951 Ford was an ordinary car made for "ordinary" people. Later a generation of "hot rodders" and customizers turned the 51 Ford into one of the most popular and modified cars in history. In creative hands the ordinary becomes extraordinary. We owned a number of 51 fords when I was a boy. I always wanted a 51 Ford, a car that is the same age as me. Like it everything about my boyhood was ordinary. Never would I have guessed the extraordinay modifications that were coming.
