The Boss

1968. I went through a rebellious period. One person could always break through and speak to my heart. The man represented in this work, my Grandfather, Bert Berry was an acomplished artist. He once said to me, "son, you'll get a lot further in life with your hat in your hand than you will with a chip on your shoulder." The wisdom he imparted in those too few moments in his studio has served me for more than 40 years and many countries traveled.
