Nancy 1972

Still working my way thru the decades and memories. After the chaos and confusion of the 1960s, I like most of my generation was ready for something stable. This was a time of returning to roots. For me, I met the love of my life. This portrait of Nancy is from a photo I have of her from 1972. She was 19. Beautiful inside and out. We're still together 36+ years later. I made this and several of these paintings in earth tones. It was that kind a time. Back to basics, back to the land. A real organic time after the dissonant 1960s.
